Barcelona: Workshop "Digital Cultural Heritage e-Infrastructure"

Spain

14 June 2011 - INDICATE Workshops

The i2cat Foundation and the Departament de Cultura (Generalitat de Catalunya) are organising the workshop "Digital Cultural Heritage e-Infrastructure". New opportunities for the Cultural Heritage, which will take place on June 14th in the Palau Moja, Barcelona.

The e-Infrastructures offer many opportunities for the Cultural Heritage sector. The grid computing and the national research and education networks have been traditionally used by scientists and information technologists. The application of these e-Infrastructures on the GLAM sector will be an opportunity to face future challenges. The aim is to bring together professionals from European institutions, research centers and companies linked to the Cultural Heritage sector to build the Network for Cultural Heritage Digital e-Infrastructure.

This workshop is organized within the framework of the European project INDICATE: International Network for Cultural Heritage Digital e-Infrastructure.
